Anarchy is a society being freely constituted without authorities or a governing body

The greek word Αρχή (arche) is in Anarchy means several different things but they are connected. Arche means the beginning.
So you can say the beginning of time, beginning of our relationship but also means and the principles or laws in the universe or society eg fundamental laws of thermodynamics ( translates to βασικές αρχές της θερμοδυναμικής)
At the same time means and authority/power. Probably translated from Greek came the word principal (headteacher).
Probably word Arche started to mean authority because from there starts the power to govern. King was the law. That is speculation but it looks the way these 2 meanings blend perfectly in Greek.
So let’s get back to Anarchy. As we understand authority is arche and in Greek a- means lack of something. So the now it is fully understandable why anarchy means a society freely constituted without authorities or governing body. It is just in the name. Lack of authority
